Svanekegaarden Cello Master Class 2022
We are looking forward to welcome talented cellists age 14-30 at the 4th Svanekegaarden Cello Master Class & Festival 2022!
Location: Svanekegaarden, Skippergade 2-8, 3740 Svaneke
Date: 14.-19. August 2022
Teachers: Jakob Kullberg (Professor, Royal College of Music, London) and Toke Møldrup (Assistant Professor, Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen) – special guest Henrik Brendstrup (Professor, Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus)
Course pianist and cello/piano coach: Kristoffer Hyldig, concert pianist

Info about Svanekegaarden Cello Festival 2022 and “SvanekeCellisten”
As a new feature this year, the Masterclass will be followed by a 2,5 days Festival featuring concerts
With pianists Kristoffer Hyldig and Jesper René, sound designer and composer Ejnar Kanding, soprano Cecilia Lindberg, Novo Quartet & cellist Toke Møldrup. Other events include morning yoga with Katrine Gislinge. Talk on music and health with professor emeritus Lars-Ole Bonde, a cello crash course and a Bach Marathon (36 movements/36 kilometres running) with Toke Møldrup and Svaneke Idrætsklub.
Students receive a discount of 50% on the festival tickets. However, due to practical reasons other accommodation must be organized from Saturday 20th August, 10am.
One of the Festival features this year is a concert with the “SvanekeCellist”.
The SvanekeCellist will be selected among the video applicants to the masterclass.
“SvanekeCellisten” will
- own the title “SvanekeCellist 2022”
- have her/his masterclass fee covered (3000 DKK)
- perform movements from Arensky’s string quartet No. 2 for violin, viola and 2 cellos with the Novo Quartet and a work free of choice with pianist Kristoffer Hyldig for the Late Night Concert on Saturday, August 20th.
- receive a concert fee of 2500 DKK
To show our support for Ukraine as a victim of Russias meaningless war we are sponsoring access to the course for 1 Ukranian passport holder.

Non-refundable deposit of 500 DKK and a registration fee of 2,500.00 DKK to be paid no later than Friday, June 3, 2022 using the following bank info:

Included in the fee: Minimum 4 lessons of 45 minutes, free admission to the concerts of the masterclass + return transportation Svanekegaarden-Aa Kirke, accommodation in both single rooms and shared apartments with shared access to toilet, bath, kitchen and living room.
Participants are welcome to arrange common meals in the kitchen at their own expense.
The nearby Steak House offers a 50% discount for participants of the master class
